Industrial Revolution Essay

Industrial Revolution is the changes of Technology, Social Economic and Culture at the end of 18th Century and the beginning of 19th Century. This Revolution is started at United Kingdom/British with the introduction of steam engines (by using a brick as a fuel) and powered by engines. The development of machine tools metal-inclusion on the first two decades of the 19th century to make production machinery products for use in other industries.

Factors behind the Industrial Revolution was a revolution of science in the 16th century with the advent of scientists such as Francis Bacon, Rene Decartes,Galileo Galilei
and the development of research and research with theestablishment of research institutes such as The Royal Improving Knowledge,The Royal Society of England, and The French Academy of Science. There is also a factor such as the resilience of the domestic politics, the development ofentrepreneurial activities, the British empire a vast and rich in natural resources.

Cultural effects spread throughout Western Europe and North America, and thenaffect the whole world. The effect of this change in society is very large and often compared with the cultural revolution in the Neolithic period when farming began in and forms of civilization, replacing the nomadic life.

Social Effects:
Child labor is found in the Industrial Revolution, although before the Industrial Revolution has been developed. Children - children are forced to work with asmall salary and minimal education. Several types of violence also occurred in coal mines and textile industries. This incident continues to occur until theestablishment of laws - laws factory Factory Acts in 1234 and 1994 whichprohibits children under 9 years old to work, children are prohibited from workingat night and hours of work 12 hours per day for children under 18 years.

These slum houses using shared toilets and environmental conditionsthat are less clean. Various kinds of diseases are also often occur as outbreaks of cholera, chicken pox.


Effects of Industrial Revolution:

The impact of the industrial revolution to mankind felt in various fields, is that:
  1. the emergence of large-scale industrial.
  2. Improved quality of life, life becomes more dynamic, human beings can create a variety of production to meet their needs.
  3. Prices of goods become cheaper. Why be cheap? Just imagine how a piece ofclothing production costs produced by the engine of production compared withtraditional tools!
  4. The increasing urbanization of the industrial cities.
  5. The development of modern capitalism.
  6. Capitalist groups urged the government to run a modern imperialism.
